SUMMARY:Women Vacation Rental European Conference (WVREC)
DESCRIPTION:This one day conference in Barcelona\, Spain\, is intended to bring together female leaders and entrepreneurs in the vacation rental/short term rental industry. It’s a special time to learn\, network\, and develop both personally and professionally. \nMy Session Title: She Didn’t See It Coming: How Smart\, Strong Women Still Get Stuck \nSession Description:\nA little silence here. A little shrinking there. A voice that gets quieter each time someone tells us who we’re allowed to be. \nJoin Brittany “Coach B” Blackman as she shares the part of her story she’s never put on a stage. Together\, you’ll open the pages of a chapter from her life where she slowly drifted away from herself in a season that tested her strength\, her confidence\, and her sense of who she was. What started as subtle control became emotional abuse\, fear\, and moments she wasn’t sure she’d survive. And like so many strong\, smart women\, she didn’t see it happening until she was already in too deep. \nThis session is for any woman who has ever felt lost\, stuck\, or small\, even if she looks unshakeable on the outside. It’s raw\, honest\, hopeful\, and grounded in the truth that your story doesn’t end where you broke. You are worth the fight it takes to walk toward something better.

SUMMARY:Built to Lead Conference
DESCRIPTION:This one-day conference is built to connect women in the construction and adjacent industries. It’s a great day filled with growth\, connection and leadership. \nMy breakout session: The Leadership Blueprint They Forgot to Give Women in Construction \nSession description: \nHow do I build authority? How do I handle conflict without blowing everything up? How do I get tough personalities to actually respect me? \nMaybe you’ve Googled these questions. Maybe you’ve just thought them. Either way\, you’re not alone. \nHere’s the truth nobody says out loud: most of us fall into management because we’re “good with people”\, not because anyone actually trained us for it. There’s no playbook. No one warns you that the higher you climb\, the lonelier it gets. So we figure it out in silence\, making it up as we go and wondering why it feels so hard. Today\, that changes. \nAnother reality is that most leadership training wasn’t designed with you in mind. It doesn’t account for directing a resistant crew\, confronting the colleague who talks over you\, or challenging a decision from above — all while navigating the unspoken double standard that rewards men for the same directness that gets women labeled difficult. \nUsing Radical Candor as our foundation\, we’ll get brutally honest about the communication patterns keeping talented women from the authority\, respect and influence they’ve already earned. You’ll discover exactly where you’re losing ground without realizing it\, and replace people-pleasing\, over-explaining and conflict-avoidance with something far more powerful: clarity and brevity\, with a southern smile. \nThrough real talk and small-group discussion built around actual job-site scenarios\, you’ll stop managing how you’re perceived and start leading in a way that’s undeniably\, authentically yours. \nYou’ll leave equipped to: \n\nPinpoint exactly where your communication is costing you respect and influence\nUse Radical Candor to handle tough personalities and conflict without burning bridges\nBuild authority that works across generations\, personalities and gender dynamics\nSay the hard thing — directly\, professionally and without apology\n\n  \nEvent begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM local time.
